Sonia performed as a beach-goer in an opera about climate change, Sun & Sea, at BAM. She subsequently participated in a contact improvisation workshop created by the Brooklyn-based experimental theater group, The Million Underscores. She incorporates elements of what she learned there in the Snake · Skin project, among others.
